PJO PRIDE HEADCANONS (FEATURING CAMP HALF-BLOOD) Pt1?

The Apollo cabin is by far the one filled with the most lgbtqia+ members. They hold late night gossip sessions and will tease each other /relentlessly/.

Followup for above; Austin, from canonical characters, as the resident aroace sibling has the most blackmail on his siblings because of these sessions.

Camp Half-Blood has always been a safe place for lgbtia+ demigods no matter what time period (the gods have had lovers of both genders since ancient times + Chiron training Achilles & Patroclus). Members of the community were often year-rounders for this reason, because even if they died young they could be their authentic selves.

Drew Tanaka is on the aroace spectrum and when she was younger thought there was something wrong with her due to not falling in love like her siblings. Silena Beauregard is the one that helped her through it.

Annabeth has to be careful in the state of Florida because a camera caught her beating up a homophobe. (Yes, it was a mortal. She had gone with Malcolm as support for him to come out of the closet to his mortal dad and step-mom.)

Every year before Manhattan, Jake (Mason) and Michael (Yew) would risk getting eaten by harpies to stargaze on top of the Apollo cabin roof. After the Battle, Travis and/or Connor would help Jake get up there and let him stargaze for the night. Mysteriously, the harpies avoided the area as if they had orders to leave it alone.

Cecil is the biggest ally in camp, so much so that he says things no straight man would ever dare.

Cecil: "I'd kiss a guy to show my support."

Lou: "That's not how it works. Also, you're dating me!"

Cecil: "Yeah, but allyship Lou Ellen. Don't be homophobic during pride month."

Lou: "I'm literally pan!"

The Hermes cabin has a list with everyone's flags and are like pride flag fairies.

Clarisse was the first person Will came out to as bisexual. She found him crying by the lake because he didn't think he would be accepted. They got to talking and she told him she was bi as well. "Take a look around, Solace. Times are changing and we can like who we like. Hades, look at your own cabin. You guys may have a single straight ally in there, because the rest of y'all sure arent straight."

Katie and Miranda help everyone decorate with flowers and put bouquets together.

Mitchell and Valentina have a betting pool on which couples are going to 'do the most'.

Nico's first pride month is definitely interesting. He had no idea that the camp would be so accepting or that there would be so many others like/similar to himself. (He spent most of it in a state of shock and talked Jason's ear off over Iris message.)

Lou Jitsu is secretly a member of the Hamato clan and is known as the like the Gray Ninja or “the Rat” or something like that

Big Mama is Yoshi’s agent and manager and on the weekends helps to take care of his kids, but on the side she’s this huge crime boss that Yoshi has been hunting down for years

Cass is a double agent betraying the Foot Clan for the guys

And Draxum runs an orphanage but that’s a front for his illegal genetic experiments that he performs on the kids (including Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey)

I saw on your Masterlist, that you write for DC as well and my mind came up with a little School Talk with a few DC Characters :-)

Jonathan Crane

“Do I understand you correctly? I am now in your Office, because my offspring is said,  to have done something against the schools rules during Lunch?” - Jonathan Crane folded his hands in his lap and looked at the school principal expectantly. He was a busy psychiatrist and university professor and had no time to deal with a school meeting. The fact that he had been called on his cell phone, stealing his valuable time, which the villain could have used differently, scratched at his thin nerves.

“Mr. Crane, I understand that you are a busy man, but your child's behavior during the lunch break was completely inappropriate and...”

Jonathan sighed deeply and gave the school principal a brief disapproving look.

He had more to do with his valuable time, devoting himself to his research, finding new potential test patients for an improved version of his fear gas.

“You got into a fight with another student during lunch break?” - Jonathan's gaze briefly went over to you. 

You are sitting in the chair next to him and the resentment and dissatisfaction of sitting here in the principal's office. A waste of time. For a busy man and villain like Jonathan Crana aka Scarecrow, it was not in keeping with the schedule or productive to be called to his son's school for such a naive incident. 

And the man put all of these thoughts into a single look at you.

And you try to make yourself a little smaller in your chair.

“Yes, but only because....”, you wanted to justify yourself, explain why you wanted to hurt that asshole. But your father quickly silenced you with a non-verbal hand gesture.

“I don't care what the reason was! You will be grounded after school for such behavior, I expected better behavior from you!”  - Jonathan said angrily and you don’t dare contradict him.

“.....yes Dad…….”, you look at your lap and let the words of your father and the headmaster wash over you…how naive and inappropriate this incident during lunch break was and that a repeat incident would arise with more than just the additional detention at school.

You now decide to hate the headmaster and see the office as a disliked favorite place. You had only wanted to beat a little respect into this other student…after all, this idiot said that the Joker was much more powerful and cooler than Scarecrow. 

You just wanted to defend the villain’s honor and your dad’s name. It didn’t really work out that well.

Oswald Cobblepot

“Do YOU ​​actually know who I am?!”

The slightly loud, aggressive voice of your father Oswald Cobblepot echoes very loudly in the small office and underlines the presence of the penguin with his two bodyguards even more clearly. The criminal man had a clear idea of ​​who was wasting time here and what a cheek it was to have a conversation at this time?

“I had a meeting with an important business partner at LUNCH and YOU said there was an emergency and I had to come to school! My son is alive, didn't set anything on fire and got a good grade in history! DON'T WASTE my damn time!”

You could see how the hatred and dislike for the director was almost starting to make stormy waves in your father's bright eyes. Lunch meetings were important to him. Sometimes you were allowed to be there and learn what it means to be as successful a businessman as your father. You look up to him...even though his emotional outbursts and minor tantrums over the simplest things that can go wrong can be damn exhausting at times, you know that your father loves you and would do anything to keep you safe. And when he takes your side immediately because there was a fight at lunch with another student.

"Mr. Cobblepot - it's standard procedure when there's been a fight incident and after-school detention is for your son..."

"Detention!? Oh no! That will have consequences for YOU, I'm complaining to the board of directors for your school district and YOU will lose your job! My son was only defending himself and I'm proud of him,"  -  your father gave you a brief, loving pat on the right shoulder, his gaze never leaving the principal.

“Um…that won’t be necessary, I’d like to keep my job…wh…we’ll just give the other student detention…”,  - the headmaster stammered nervously as the two bodyguards positioned themselves to the right and left of his desk and made threatening gestures and glances at the headmaster.

Oswald clapped his hands happily and gave you a sign to get up and follow him.

“Wonderful! But if I'm called here again because MY little shark is said to have done some bullshit, you'll regret it, Mr. Headmaster!” -  and with these words your father pushed you towards the door with gentle pressure.

One problem less and as you proudly tell your dad in the car that you got into a fight,  because someone thought you were a disappointment to someone like the penguin as a successful villain, the anger and aggression that had just been directed at the headmaster gave way to pride and recognition. 

And the promise to go on an extended shopping trip with you after the next meeting.

Harley Quinn

The bubble gum bubble burst with a loud bang and the atmosphere in the headmaster's office was just a little bit tense.

“So my little angel is said to have disrupted the Lunch Break with a Fight? Are you kidding me? Do you actually know who I am!” -  Harley leaned forward a little in her chair and created a new bubble with the gum, which she burst right in front of the headmaster's face. 

Just to annoy him a little bit. And to defend her offspring. After all, Harley knew very well that there were many reasons why she was now allowed to have a conversation with the headmaster. But no one would drag her child's name through the mud.

"Mum? Um... actually the headmaster is right, I got into a fight, but only because that other student was talking meanly about you and Dad," -  you mumble, playing nervously with the sleeves of your jacket. 

That one stupid comment that the Joker and Harley Quinn are disturbed psychopaths and that it would be better if you were placed in a foster family made your blood boil... your parents are by no means perfect and their relationship, just like the parenting methods and parenting, has its problems, issues and ups and downs... but you love your parents when they're not in prison or in Arkham. 

Nobody is allowed to speak badly about your parents when you're around... and nobody is allowed to insult your mum by calling her a disturbed psychopath.

"Naaaw that's really sweet of you Pumpkin, but it's true! Mr. Jay says it all the time too,"-  Harley giggled and changed her sitting position. 

She wasn't angry with you for starting this fight. But there was something in the air... you can tell by the way Harley laughs and the gleam in her eyes.

“You can be glad that Mr. Jay is not present at this conversation... he is in Arkham,” Harley added darkly and then reached for a small gadget on her belt. You immediately recognized the small whistle. One of the training tools of the hyenas - Bud and Lou.

“I think we should give him a hint not to speak to the wrong side of this situation, hm Pumpkin?” Harley cooed and you looked from your mother to the headmaster.

“I... won't get in trouble, Mum? But you... always said school is important and if I end up in the headmaster's office there will be trouble?” you said, surprised, and the fact that your mother now wants to intimidate the headmaster a little doesn't fit in with what you expected. Harley has often emphasized how important it is for you to go to school and learn... Harleen had also learned a lot before she went to college and studied.

“Of course not! Mommy will show you later how to take out a few security guards with an electric shocker! You stood up for yourself and your parents and I'm soooo proud of you,”  - said Harley and pressed a kiss on your head, one of the many parental signs of affection.

“And if I'm called here again...,”  - Harley whistled once on the whistle and just seconds later the two hyenas Bud and Lou stormed into the office and circled the director's desk with snapping noises.

“....my other two babies will get a snack and you will suffer! You'd better punish that idiot who doesn't realize,  that Mr. Jay and I are the very best villain parents in all of Gotham!”

And with these words, Harley strutted out of the office, you followed her and called out the names of the two hyenas that were staring at the principal with bared teeth, growled threateningly once more and then left the principal's office on your right and left side and then left the school building.

Valentine’s Week, Day 7, Fic 2

Pigsy was adorable.

Lou Jitsu, now going by Splinter, had learned this quickly. Pigsy was gruff but had a heart of gold. Who else would take one look at a new mutant, still shaky after the sudden voyage to China and his new status as a father, and reach out? Splinter didn't know. But, back to the point, Pigsy was adorable.

Especially now.

The kids- Qi Xiaotian, Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo- were all upstairs. Splinter had managed to get some of his money transferred over without alerting Big Mama. A cozy living room showcased this and him, leaning against Pigsy in the hoodie he stole from the dryer. Cooking with Chang'e was playing, since he lost the arm wrestling match over the TV, but Splinter didn't mind. His ears were pricked to Pigsy's heartbeat. It was strong and steady, almost a nice beat that he could fall asleep too...

"You're so cute."

"Huh?"

Pigsy wasn't looking at the TV. He was looking at him, grinning. "You, wrapped up all cozy in my hoodie? Gods, you're absolutely adorable."

Oh. Oh boy.

Splinter wasn't sure why his first reaction was to grab a pillow and smack him in the face.

June Zootowski

Oldest child of Zoot and Lips, June is reason #1 why Lips was away from the band for nearly 20 years, having taken time off to raise her. June is rather bookish, practical, a bit neurotic, and kind of takes it upon herself to be the most responsible person in the room even when no one asked her too. She didn't have the closest relationship with her father Zoot during her formative years, but she nevertheless adores him. She currently resides in the Avenue Q outer borough of New York City.

Lou Wilder

The youngest child of Zoot and Lips, Lou is reason #2 why Lips was away from the band for nearly 20 years. Unlike his more reserved and practical sister, Lou's had his head in the clouds with grand dreams of stardom ever since he was a child, though he's since been a bit more humbled in recent years. After a particularly devastating audition rejection, he did a little soul searching and found a lot more than just a sense of purpose. He currently resides in a small village in the Swiss Alps with his human husband, Sage, and their children. He has fairly limited contact with his parents, though that's mostly due to internet connection issues and the distance.

Listening to Kid Cudi before bed. Remembered Scott Mescudi was in X. Thought it was cool Lou Taylor Pucci, who played St. Jimmy in Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia,” was also in that movie. Until I realized I was getting RJ mixed up with Eric from Evil Dead. 😓 

Turns out a lot of people thought they were played by the same actor, though.

After seeing how he reacted when he thought he heard real gunfire (when it was really coming from a video game) in 4x07, I thought about how he'd react to fireworks (especially in season 1), which they seem to have pretty often in Hawaii. Also based on the song "A Soldier's Memoir" by Joe Bachman

Spn x-over: (gen or McKono or McRollins) Maybe John Winchester knew Joe or John McGarrett. While on a case in Hawaii, Sam and Dean notice the name in their dad's journal. Even if Joe never met John W., he knew about him from John M. telling him about him. When Steve and Danny arrest Dean and maybe Sam, too, Joe tells them to let them go.

Spn x-over: Steve is open-minded and trusts his gut and believes Sam and Dean are good guys.

Spn x-over: Maybe Steve's house is haunted, or maybe there's a case that's weird. He remembers seeing something in his dad's stuff. He finds what he's looking for. It's a piece of paper or a sticky note or something that says "John Winchester" with a phone number and says, "Call this number if anything weird happens," or something along those lines.

Reacher (TV show) x-over: Post 3x20 – Reacher decides to go to Hawaii because why not? He ends up getting framed for murder again because that's just his luck. Five-0 gets the case. Steve sees Reacher and looks like he's seen a ghost. Steve believes that Reacher didn't do it. The Five-0 team thinks Steve isn't thinking straight. It's up to Steve, Reacher, and Catherine to prove Reacher's innocence.

Steve goes to Jersey with Danny (gen)

Renee tries to convince Lou to give Steve a chance, to get to know Steve.

Steve has a son and names him Freddie.

Being too scared to call the police and not knowing who else to call, she calls Steve. Steve tells her to get on the first flight to Hawaii. She and her daughter make it to Hawaii. Steve protects them.

So, I figured I’d close out my #MarchFicMadness24 with the fic I read this month that made me LOSE my goddamn MIND. There’s no way in heck that I’d ever be able to put everything I loved about this story into words and Im sorry about that. I’m honestly not even sure there are words for all of what I’d want to say about this absolute masterpiece, though. But I’m going to do my best to highlight some of the things that made it hit like it did.

TLDR: if you haven’t read this one yet, you should run not walk and change that immediately. Just be sure to read and heed all warnings and buckle those seatbelts because this rollercoaster takes some steep drops into dark places but GOSH it’s worth it.

I’m not really sure where to begin. The concept is so damn intriguing, I think I was half hooked by the time I read the series synopsis. The characters are so alive and dimensional and fleshed out and real. The actual writing is stunning and the storytelling? The planning and plotting of it all? It’s brilliant.

When I started reading this fic, I was trying to pace myself. For two reasons: 1) I knew right from the start that this story was going to be an extremely emotional one, and I wanted to be able to absorb what it made me feel and think about it a little before moving on, & 2) I knew right away that it was a TREAT and I wanted to draw out reading it so I could enjoy unraveling it for longer. My plans went to shit around part 8. Instead of 1 or 2 chapters a day I was upping my dosage to 2 or 3. I read chapters 14-17 in one sitting, because I HAD TO KNOW, finished reading at 2am, and stared at my ceiling for another hour afterwards just in AWE of what I’d just consumed. This story is one of the most binge-able (if not binge-necessary) things I’ve ever read, fic or not.

And it’s in very large part due to the characters and how attached I as a reader became to them. Your Dieter is so believable and real and flawed and scarred and scared and loveable that it actually hurts. No, really, like I’ve had this little ache that feels like my heart is being squeezed every time I think about him, which is often because he and Lou now own a condo in my brain which I have no plans on charging them rent for.

Lou! 🫶🏻 I love her so damn much. She’s strong and funny and loving and doing her best under the shittiest circumstances imaginable. I connect with her on so many levels it’s spooky. No I’ve not had a near death experience, thankfully, but … so many of her other experiences and traits are very relatable to me. (Also if she’s open to sharing her recipe for apple danish edibles I would not turn that down.) But you’ve written her in such an entirely human way that even readers with nothing in common with her life can and will fall in love with her and root for her and care about her.

I’m not sure I’ve ever met two characters who needed to be in each other’s lives more than Dee and Lou do. Even with all the bullshit and the stains on their pasts (and carpets) they click so naturally and completely that it just feels like neither of them would live their best most full and happy lives without the other.

This is the best way I can come up with to express how much I love these two: I want to shrink them both down to Polly Pocket size, and tuck them safely into a hard plastic clamshell thingie (shaped vaguely like a ghost, obviously, but the inside is half Lou’s apartment and half Dieter’s house) and put it in my inner coat pocket (the one right by my heart) so no one can ever fucking hurt them. And I think that’s completely normal of me. 😌

Every single aspect of this story felt saturated in detail and meaning and visual beauty. I once attended a wedding at this auction house and it was this huge open space full of the most beautiful and eclectic and colorful and textured STUFF (carpets and sculptures and mirrors and tapestries and chairs and lamps and and and …. you get it) and it was such a sensory wonderland. Reading this story gave me that exact same feeling. I hope that makes sense haha.

And it wasn’t just the scenery and descriptions that contributed to that saturated feeling. It was the backstories and relationships you gave these characters. The loss and grief but also the love and good times. And the way you wove all the flashbacks and memories in with the current storyline and what was seen/talked about in the psychomanteum… it just… it was so meticulously and carefully layered to create such an impactful story.

The way you handled so many delicate topics was amazing. You didn’t shy away from or gloss over the really dark, really scary, really hurtful parts of addiction, loss, depression, suicide, homophobia, shitty unsupportive family members, infidelity, infertility… none of it was done with kid gloves but all of it was done with purpose and intent. And I think it was really brave and inspiring.

Real quick before I wrap this up: shout out to the A#1 best of the best friends to ever exist, Saint Parker. Truly a top tier real one. Also? I know he had demons that turned him into someone he wasn’t, but I might still study necromancy just to resurrect Ethan so I can strangle him with my bare hands for what he did to Lou.

Okay. Listen. Like I said when I started this. There’s no way I’ve said everything I wanted to, nor as eloquently as I wanted to. But the main thing I want you to know is that I loved every part of this story with my whole heart and soul and I’m going to be thinking about it until the end of time. Thank you so incredibly much for creating it and sharing it. You’re wonderful!! 🖤

Clark got an invite to visit is cousin Maddie in Amity park! He always enjoys visiting them. Its a wild time, Maddie's kids are nice, and he gets to be the coolest cousin in the world. Impressing his little cousins with tricks that could only be explained by magic (he has litteraly crushed a rock to dust to make is "disapear").

But when he arrives this time, maybe bringing a few friends with him (i imagine the main group is Bruce, Clark, Lous, and maybe Damian, Tim, Conner, and Jon), the Town is chaos. Rouge government agents running around, magic undead creatures wreaking Havoc, and a young superhero barely holding it together. Even worse, Maddie and her husband seem so wrapped up in their work that they don't even notice their kids half the time! AND WHY DOES DANNY FORGET TO BREATH????!?!?!?!?!?
